Geordie Winter Skills

Service Description

This course is for those wanting to test their skills or face a different challenge. Set in Blaydon, Gateshead, it is perfect as it is just outside of the heart of the North East. Cold weather and damp conditions set the difficult nature of this course. But it is not impossible. On this course you will cover: -Knife and saw safety -Basic axe skills -Damp weather fire lighting -Shelter building with a tarp -Water collection, filtering and boiling -Campfire cooking -Knives and the law -Natural and man made cordage -Insulation from the damp -Protecting your fire from the elements -Useful trees in the Winter and identification Most kit will be issued expect for your own sleeping system. Kit list and joining instructions will be sent to you on purchase of the course.

Cancellation Policy

If you have to cancel a course due to unseen circumstances or COVID 19 reasons, we are flexible that you are able to reschedule a course at a later date. We MUST have 7 days notice. Refunds are not available for no shows.
