ARE YOU BRAVE ENOUGH?

Mercian Woodsman, is a true test of skill, knowledge and self management. Is this the challenge you have been waiting for?!

On this challenge, you'll venture into the woodland to stay for 5 days and 4 nights, with nothing but your outdoor ability and the mandated items; nothing more.

At the start of the challenge, you will be issued a rucksack containing your survival equipment by the staff and then taken to an allocated area to test your survival skills. This challenge will test your skill on relying on the what you have been given and challenging yourself to adapt to those items that you may find more difficult to use or not used before.

During your time out on the ground, you will have the option of taking on physical and mental challenges that will earn you points and the possibility of food. You'll also be able to find the 2 gear caches within the woodland, be sure you find them before anyone else. You'll will be given a 24 hour ration pack for the duration of the event. However, for the serious survivalist there will be food within the woodland to be found, so use your skill and currency wisely. It is up to you to find food or spend your small amount of currency for food and potentially sacrifice upgrades you may well need.

You'll be given woodsman currency which will enable you to spend at The Mercian Merchant to buy upgraded equipment and additional food items, if you feel you need it. But don't spend it all at once, as currency also counts as points. This will be a test of self management of survival.

There is an option to get one on one tuition with a member staff for a cost of your currency.

At the end, your remaining currency will convert to points and will be added to what you may have accumulated.
