Char Cloth

If you more into the more traditional side of bushcraft then charcloth is a must in your fire kit. 10 pieces of char cloth in a metal tin to protect it so it doesn't disintegrate or become usable. A method that has been used for 100s of years using carbonised material. It will easily take a spark from traditional flint and steel and more so from the more intensive heat from a ferro rod.
