The most important discovery by humans to ensure survival is the creation of fire. We will teach you how to light fires, build and maintain them in a number of configurations in the wild. Starting from todays modern methods then travel back in time to the primitive days and everywhere in between. On this fully emersive workshop you will learn about the history, terms and technological advances of fire, what materials are best to different tinders and fuels, and how to light fires using ancient, historical and contemporary methods. You will be able light fires any time you need to. On this course you will learn: The science of fire Use modern equipment and methods in fire lighting Make charcloth and charcoal Next fire mindset Frontiersman fire lighting Flint and Steel Primitive fire lighting using fungi and ancient methods Friction fires (Rubbing sticks together) Lunch will be provided, however, please feel free to bring your own food if you wish. Cancellation Policy
If you have to cancel the event due to unseen circumstance you are required to notify Northern Limits Bushcraft and Survival as soon as possible. The following is the refund policy: 4 weeks out or more will result in 100% refund. Week 2 and 3 will result in 50% refund 1 week out will result in 25% refund We MUST have 7 days notice. Refunds are not available for no shows. You will not receive a refund if you remove yourself or you are removed by the staff due to any reason including misconduct, medical reasons, self withdrawal. This is not negotiable. If you are to cancel at any point prior or during the event, it does not effect your statutory rights.
